Here is a little of my work in progress on Serenity Harbor. I should have just stitched today instead of making some soup in the crockpot but it is so cold and rainy here and making some soup sounded like a good idea. I would much rather stitch. I am loving this already and just have fallen in love with these colors. I am stitching mine on 40 ct. Parchment by Weeks Dyeworks with mostly DMC and a few overdyed threads. I find myself looking forward to stitching on this and will have the first block done soon.
I love the colour of your linen. What are you using please.
ReplyDeleteI had some Weeks Dyeworks 40 ct Parchment and I liked how it looks like the photo of the project colorwise . It is working out really well for me! :)
DeleteIt's looking lovely! I'm still waiting for my fabric so can't start yet :( May just decide to see I can use some of the fabric I have......try dyeing it or something!
ReplyDeleteThis is really fun to stitch!! I will love seeing your fabric when you start yours! :)
DeleteLooks wonderful, and the magnifier for the picture is a great idea :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Donna! I am lucky in that my husband knows how to do that for my photos. I am so happy you like it too! :)
DeleteIt looks great Debby! I got my cleaning done today and all my stitched snowmen out so I'm ready to go pull my threads and pick out fabric Sunday.
ReplyDeleteHave fun looking for your fabric. I will love seeing your progress when you get started! :)
DeleteVery nice! Are you using overdyes for the flowers? If so, would you share which ones? Thanks
ReplyDeleteHi Marcia, Yes I am using Weeks Dyeworks Berry Splash for the dark shade on the roses but using the called for DMC for the 2 other shades for the beautiful roses. Just for everyone's information, I love using overdyed threads when I can and may add things as I go but I am also going to use Weeks Dyeworks Seaglass for the color of the sea. I just love how it looks like the color in the photo. :)
ReplyDeleteDebby, I'm interested in your frame. Can you tell me about it?
